Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), is the world’s largest integrated zinc producer and one of the top 5 silver producers globally. Steelcad is excited to support the delivery of India’s first zinc tailings recycling facility at Rampura Agucha Mines (RAM) in Rajasthan, India.
Located in Rajasthan’s mineral-rich Bhilwara district, approximately 200 km southwest of Jaipur, RAM is a world‑class underground operation producing ore at an impressive 4.8 Mtpa.
CIMIC Group companies Sedgman and Leighton Asia have been awarded separate contracts to deliver engineering services and manage the project’s construction.
Steelcad is set to provide engineering support, 3D modelling and steel detailing services for a total of 4,183 tonnes of steel on this project. The scope includes the detailing of large portal sheds, station access structures, and pipe bridges, along with platework detailing for chutes, launders, tanks and large surge tanks.
